personal work

my wedding

This was one of my favorite projects because I got to carry out my own vision and design for my special day. Also, my family and close friends would see my work and delight in it. I love designing for weddings. I love all the different themes/styles and awestrucking the bride. I designed my whole wedding with no planner or help. From all the print material, to going to the right printers and using the right paper and mounting, and every detail of the interior of the venue including finding, buying, and layout for all the decor and directing the florists on exactly what I wanted.

The style of my wedding was modern and minimal/simple. The colors were white, gold and black. The main color was white to have everything look clean, upscale, refreshing and minimal and it's my favorite. The gold was an accent color used a lot throughout the decor and other ways to add an elegance and make the design more dynamic. The black was only in the type, thin line graphics, and the men's tuxedos, just where it needed to be for visability. White roses were used throughout as a design detail on the print material in a minimial abstract way. White roses were also used throughout the interior minimally in cohesion because there white, sophisticated, minimal, and my favorite. A little bit of greenery was also used in the print material and throughout the venue interior to accent the white roses. I was so pleased with the way everything came out and how it looked all together.

I designed several signs and put them in gold frames on tables to direct guests.

For dinner, we had a buffet. For the guest to know what each item was, I designed menu cards for each item including the different cake flavors. These were printed on cardstock paper and folded in half.

For the buffet, I designed a simple menu to be placed at the start of the buffet. This was printed on foam board.

I assigned each guest a table to sit at so each person would have a seat. I did this by designing a seating chart and table numbers. I composed the floral design differently on each table number. The table numbers were printed on thick paper and put in gold holders, which my fiance and I spray painted gold. The seating chart was printed on foam board, the same as the menu and welcome sign.

For the Interior Design, I bought all the decor and items from frames, to vases, to monogram letters, to gold pens, and so much more and laid out how I wanted everything positioned very specifically. I sent photos and communicated to florists exactly how I wanted each floral detail from the arrangement on the cross and welcome sign to the Bridesmaids flowers.
